Megan Woods Biography
Who is Megan Woods?
Christian singer-songwriter Megan Woods (born March 1, 2001; age 25) grew up in Massachusetts, where she developed an early passion for music. Raised in a Christian home, Megan initially struggled with her self-worth and did not have a personal relationship with God. Her life was marked by a decade of verbal and emotional abuse, which led her to a point of deep despair and contemplation of ending her life.
At this critical juncture, Megan received a transformative phone call from a loved one who had just survived a near-death experience. The message was clear: "Megan, Jesus Christ is real." This pivotal moment brought Megan to faith and initiated her path to healing.
Following this experience, Megan immersed herself in church life and began leading worship at her home church. She felt a strong calling from God, which she describes as a profound and direct summons to use her musical gifts for His purposes. This calling led her to pursue a career in Christian music.
Megan's music journey continued with a record deal in 2022 with Fair Trade Services (MercyMe, Phil Wickham), management by Jason Davis and his team at Noble Management, and representation by Jeff Roberts Agency. Her debut single, "The Truth," released on May 31, 2024, became a breakout hit through its message of finding one's identity in Christ. The song surpassed 130 million streams, topped multiple Christian radio charts, and earned RIAA Gold certification. It was also nominated for Song of the Year at the 2025 GMA Dove Awards.
In 2025, Woods was featured on the Let It Begin Tour alongside Big Daddy Weave and was named one of Pandora's and Amazon Music's 2025 Artists to Watch. Her growing career included appearances on "Fox & Friends," ABC News Now, and the Grand Ole Opry. Billboard named her its No. 1 Top New Christian Artist for 2025.
On October 17, 2025, Woods released her six-song EP, "The Truth," which expanded on the themes of her breakthrough single. The EP included "I Believe You," "Royal Blood," "History," and "Nowhere Your Love Won't Go."
Building on that momentum, Woods launched her first headlining outing, The Truth Tour, in 2026. She also released "Heaven Down Here" ahead of her first full-length album.
On October 9, 2026, Woods released her self-titled debut album, "Megan Woods," featuring 10 songs: "Heaven Down Here," "Prayer and A Bible," "Living Miracle," "The Truth," "Can't Do This Alone," "I Believe You," "Nowhere Your Love Won't Go," "History," "He Answered," and "Royal Blood." The album continues her focus on faith, identity in Christ, hope, and the message of God's love.
Megan's goal with her music is to share the message of God's love and hope, impact listeners, and guide them toward a deeper relationship with Jesus.
