A Life Set Apart Biography
Who is A Life Set Apart?
A Life Set Apart is a Christian rock duo formed in 2006 by brothers Prestin and Jacob Apsley and based out of Boise, Idaho. More than just a band, it is a ministry rooted in faith, conviction, and purposeful music. From early on, the group built momentum through nationally recognized performances, including opening for NEEDTOBREATHE at the God and Country Festival, appearances on the Rock and Worship Roadshow alongside Thousand Foot Krutch, The Afters, Lecrae, Jars of Clay, and MercyMe, and mainstage performances at Cornerstone Festival with artists such as P.O.D., Brian “Head” Welch, The Letter Black, and Write This Down.
Traveling independently, A Life Set Apart performed more than 70 shows between 2010 and 2011, sharing their message across the country during a formative and fast-paced season. During that time, both members were under the age of 22, balancing touring, college, and a shared commitment to excellence in both music and ministry.
The duo released a full-length album in 2010, followed by an EP in 2014, capturing a sound shaped by personal experience, perseverance, and faith. Their songs often address difficult matters of the heart, written with the hope of encouraging listeners to pause, reflect, and make wise choices in their own lives.
Above all, A Life Set Apart exists to point people to something greater than themselves. Grateful for every opportunity they have been given, Prestin and Jacob Apsley continue to give all glory to God, who has faithfully guided their path.
