Adam Agee Biography
Who is Adam Agee?
Adam Agee (born June 9, 1980) is a Christian singer, songwriter, and guitarist best known for Stellar Kart, Audio Adrenaline, and Newsboys. A veteran of contemporary Christian music with more than two decades as a signed artist, Agee first gained recognition as the founding vocalist and guitarist of Stellar Kart, the Phoenix-based pop-punk band that became one of the standout acts in 2000s Christian music.
Under his leadership, Stellar Kart scored a No. 1 Christian CHR hit with "Me and Jesus" and earned the 2007 Dove Award for Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song, with Agee receiving additional recognition from the SESAC Christian Music Awards for his songwriting on the track.
After Stellar Kart disbanded in 2014, Agee stepped into one of Christian music's most storied legacies, joining the Grammy Award winning rock band Audio Adrenaline as lead vocalist in 2015. His debut album with the band, Sound of the Saints, reached No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart. He fronted Audio Adrenaline through 2017 before beginning his solo career, releasing the Paper Planes EP that same year.
In 2023, Agee officially joined the Newsboys as electric guitarist and, following the mid-January 2025 departure of frontman Michael Tait, stepped into the lead vocalist role -- making him the rare artist to have fronted three major acts in Christian music. Among the songs he inherited were several he had written himself, including "More Than Enough."
Today, Agee is touring behind his first full-length solo album while continuing to write for other artists. His co-write "Promised Land," recorded by TobyMac, stands among his recent highlights. He has written multiple No. 1 radio singles, earned numerous film and TV placements, and is an active speaker who uses his platform to support charitable organizations worldwide. He lives in Franklin, Tennessee with his wife and two children.
