Who is Bethel Music?
Bethel Music is an American Christian worship collective, record label, and music publishing company founded in 2001 by Brian and Jenn Johnson. Based at Bethel Church in Redding, California, it has become one of the most influential organizations in modern worship music, with songs sung by churches around the world.
Led by Brian Johnson, Jenn Johnson, and a diverse collective of worship leaders and songwriters, Bethel Music is known for its passionate live worship recordings, congregational anthems, and emphasis on intimate worship. Their music blends contemporary worship, pop, rock, folk, and gospel influences while focusing on God's presence, grace, and the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
The collective released its first album, Here Is Love (2010), followed by a string of successful live recordings including Be Lifted High (2011), For the Sake of the World (2012), Tides (2013), You Make Me Brave (2014), We Will Not Be Shaken (2015), Have It All (2016), Starlight (2017), Victory (2019), Revival's In The Air (2020), Homecoming (2021), Come Up Here (2023), and We Must Respond (2025). Many of these albums reached No. 1 on Billboard's Top Christian Albums chart.
Bethel Music has introduced or popularized many widely sung worship songs, including "No Longer Slaves," "Goodness of God," "Raise a Hallelujah," "Living Hope," "It Is Well," "King of My Heart," "Ever Be," and "Lion and the Lamb." The collective also helped popularize "Reckless Love" through Bethel Music artist Cory Asbury. Their music has been recorded and performed by churches and worship teams across numerous denominations worldwide.
In addition to its extensive catalog of albums and singles, Bethel Music has released hundreds of live worship sessions, performance videos, music videos, and lyric videos viewed by millions around the world.
