Gateway Worship Biography
Gateway Worship is a contemporary Christian worship collective serving Gateway Church in Dallas-Fort Worth, ranked the 9th largest U.S. church in 2023. Founded in 2003 by Thomas Miller, the original senior worship pastor who became executive ministry pastor in 2018, the group has been instrumental in producing worship music embraced by congregations worldwide.
Following Miller's transition, Mark Harris, formerly of the Christian group 4Him, assumed the role of senior worship pastor. Under his leadership, the team includes worship pastors such as David Moore, Matt Birkenfeld, Zach Neese, Aaron Crider, Jason Tam, Tim Sheppard, Jessica Sheppard, Levi Smith, and Austin Benjamin.
Gateway Worship has released several albums that have significantly impacted the Christian music scene. In addition to their early albums "Living For You" (2006) and "Wake Up The World" (2008), other notable releases include:
- "God Be Praised" (2010): Recorded live over two nights at Gateway Church's original Southlake campus.
- "Forever Yours" (2012): Reached No. 2 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.
- "Walls" (2015): Achieved the No. 1 position on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.
- "Greater Than" (2018): Recorded live at Gateway Church's Southlake campus.
- "Completely Abandoned (Live)" (2023): Recorded live at Gateway Church's Grand Prairie campus in Dallas, Texas.
- "Crowns Down (Live)" (2023): Also recorded live at the Grand Prairie campus.
The collective has been associated with prominent artists such as Kari Jobe, a former associate worship pastor at Gateway Church, and Rita Springer, a current worship pastor at the church.
