Who is Jen Ledger?
Jennifer 'Jen' Ledger (born 8 Dec 1989, Coventry, England) is the drummer and co-vocalist for the Grammy Award-nominated Christian rock band Skillet. At the age of 18, she became Skillet's drummer when their former drummer Lori Peters retired.
Ledger relocated to the United States at age 16 to major in drums on a scholarship at Living Light School of Worship in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She became a U.S. citizen in April 2021.
Since joining Skillet in 2008, Ledger has toured extensively with the band. Her vocal solo on "Yours to Hold" was featured on the 2008 live album Comatose Comes Alive, and she contributed vocals to "Hero" and "Awake and Alive" from the studio album Awake, as well as backing vocals on "Monster" for the remix EP.
Solo Projects:
Ledger and bandmate Korey Cooper began writing music for her pop-influenced solo project in 2012. In March 2018, it was announced that her debut EP, "Ledger," would be released on April 13. She signed with Atlantic Records and Hear It Loud, an imprint launched by Skillet's John and Korey Cooper and manager Zachary Kelm. The EP was produced by Korey Cooper and Seth Mosley. Ledger opened for Skillet's Unleashed tour and released the song "Not Dead Yet" on YouTube on April 6. According to a 2018 Billboard article, Deborah Evans Price noted that Ledger wrote "Not Dead Yet" during a difficult period marked by anxiety and panic attacks.
On October 8, 2018, it was announced that Ledger would perform at the 2019 Winter Jam Tour Spectacular alongside Newsboys, Danny Gokey, Mandisa, and Rend Collective. She released the single "Completely" on February 15, 2019, followed by a music video on March 27. On February 14, 2020, she released her second non-album single, "My Arms," along with a lyric video.
She has also been featured on several tracks, including "The Elements" by TobyMac (2019) and "Gravity" by From Ashes to New (2020, a cover of the Papa Roach song), as well as "Army of the Lord" by Living Light Church (2022) and "Never Let Go" and "With Arms Outstretched" by The Spark (2022 and 2025).
