Samantha Stone Biography

Who is Samantha Stone?

Samantha Stone is a Christian Hispanic singer and songwriter from Pomona, California, part of the Greater Los Angeles area. She blends early 2000s emo rock with modern pop and alternative rock, 'all for His glory'. Samantha channels the raw emotion and sonic edge of artists like Flyleaf, Paramore, and Alanis Morissette.

A newly baptized Christian and an emerging voice in the Christian alt-rock scene, Samantha brings Spirit-led authenticity to her music. Her debut Christian single, "Need U Here", is a deeply personal track that tackles anxiety, depression, and PTSD while pointing to the healing and comfort found in Christ. The song also features subtle Spanish lyrics woven in naturally, adding a unique touch of authenticity to her sound.

After struggling with anxiety, depression, and dissociation in 2023, Samantha cried out to God for guidance and surrendered her life to Him. She was baptized in October 2024 and describes that moment as fully submitting to God and finding her identity in Christ.

She says in an interview with JesusWired, "What I love the most about my new Jesus glow is that I have now found my identity in Christ – a woman of God, embracing and confident with my feminine self. It is definitely easier said than done to just trust God, but I would say to anyone who is in a similar spot to where I was is to start praying to God to put you on the path that you are meant to be on."

Music has been part of Samantha's life since her grandfather gave her a microphone at age three. She grew up listening to bands like Paramore, Pierce the Veil, and All Time Low, and began performing in local alt-rock bands at just 14 years old. Born on October 31 in the mid-90s, she now uses that early musical foundation to glorify God through a unique blend of emo, pop, and alt-rock. Samantha's mission is to honor and praise the Lord while bringing hope to those who feel alone, anxious, or depressed, especially in the emo scene

"Need U Here" was written with guidance from the Holy Spirit and includes Psalm 139:10 – "Even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me." Samantha and her friends felt led to this verse just before recording.

She recently released a music video made with friends and church community members and is working on new music, all for God's glory. Samantha Stone's music and story point to God's faithfulness and the hope found in fully trusting Him.
