Sappo Biography
Sappo is an alternative rock band from Portland, Oregon, that formed in the mid-90s. Their discography includes the albums Wobble (1995), Greatest Hits Volume 1 (1996), and Kindred Spearmint (1997). More recently, they remastered and re-released Wobble as Wobble (Expanded), which also included several live versions of their previous songs. The band features brothers Todd Fadel on vocals and guitar and Tim Fadel on bass and vocals, along with a rotating lineup of other musicians. Blending alternative rock and NW grunge with a distinct indie flair and worship lyrics, Sappo has made a significant mark in the Christian underground music scene.
Other members have included Matt Johnson (drums), Jim Stipech (guitar), Michelle Malek (keyboards), Jeff Woodcock (drums), Dana Alverson (guitar), Jon Hanna (bass), Elizabeth Lang (cello), Steve Poor (drums, vocals) and Erin Brockway Collins (vocals).
