Who is Stephen McWhirter?

Stephen McWhirter is a worship leader, songwriter, and recording artist known for sharing a testimony of redemption through ministry-centered Christian music. After overcoming a six-year battle with crystal meth addiction, Stephen’s life was radically transformed following a life-changing encounter with God and a personal commitment to follow Christ.

His breakout song "Come Jesus Come," released in 2020, has surpassed 100 million views across social media platforms. The recording of the song by CeCe Winans featuring Shirley Caesar won the 2026 Grammy Award for Best Gospel Performance/Song at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards. While the recording received the award, Stephen is credited as the songwriter of the song. The anthem has also been recorded or performed by artists including Cody Johnson and Christine D’Clario. Through live worship and evangelistic ministry across TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, Stephen has helped lead nearly 40,000 people to faith in Christ.

As an artist associated with Capitol Christian Music Group and Re:Think Music, Stephen was formerly featured with Iron Bell Music, sharing messages of hope and faith through worship music and ministry.

Since 2020, Stephen has released a consistent series of worship projects, including the "Come Jesus Come" EP (2020), "Choir Sessions" (2020), and "Rapha" (2023). In 2025, he released four themed collections: "Worship Jesus (Vol. 2) [Live]" (January), "Unto The Lord: Worship Songs I Love" (April), "Worship From The Studio" (May), and "Unto The Lord: Hymns I Love" (June).

Stephen’s primary studio album, "My Right Now," was released in October 2025 with 10 tracks, followed by the expanded "My Right Now (Deluxe)" in February 2026, featuring 16 songs including "Come Jesus Come (Revelation 22:20)" and "Victory On The Way."
