Firm Foundation Biography
Firm Foundation, a Christian worship/rock band, was founded in 2015 with a group of middle school musicians under the leadership of David and Allison Granger.
The band is now composed of six core members:
Ethan Granger (Lead Vocals and Guitar): A dedicated musician committed to serving God through his talents. Ethan’s soulful voice and skillful guitar playing resonate with audiences during worship. He is currently pursuing a degree in Music Industry Studies at Louisiana Tech.
Ella Granger (Keyboard and Vocals): Adds depth and emotion to Firm Foundation’s music with her keyboard skills. Her vocals blend seamlessly with the band’s harmonies, creating a powerful worship experience. Ella is enrolled in Providence Classical Academy and enjoys baking, traveling, and playing basketball.
Jonathan Granger (Vocals and Multi-Instrumentalist): Jonathan’s vocals touch hearts and inspire worship, reflecting a deep connection with God. He’s also a talented multi-instrumentalist, playing drums, guitar, and piano. Jonathan is pursuing a degree in Finance at Louisiana Tech and enjoys fishing, hiking, and playing spike-ball.
David Granger (Worship Pastor and Guitar): As a founding member, David’s leadership has shaped the band’s journey. He serves as the worship pastor at Norris Ferry Community Church in Shreveport, LA, and his guitar skills contribute to the band’s dynamic sound. David enjoys spending time with family, fishing, hunting, and playing guitar.
Brayden Hermes (Lead Electric Guitar): Known for soulful guitar melodies that resonate with listeners, Brayden’s lead electric guitar work adds an edgy and passionate element to Firm Foundation’s music. He is currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Louisiana Tech and enjoys sports, traveling, and linguistics.
Pierce Jenkins (Bass and Drums): Pierce provides the rhythmic heartbeat through his bass and drumming. His solid foundation ensures that the band’s worship songs are grounded and impactful. Pierce is pursuing a degree in Music Industry Studies and hopes for a career in music production. His favorite gig so far was their time at “ONE WKND.”
In September 2021, Firm Foundation released their debut EP, “Not Alone,” consisting of four original songs. Their goal as a band is "to provide music rich in theology and edifying to the body of Christ, bringing glory to His name".
Concerts have varied from community events such as the Red River Revel, Rock Rally For Hope, and Fall Fests to performances in churches, schools, D-nows, camps, and retreats.
