Bible Book Minutes™ was created around a simple question:

What did God intend this biblical book to communicate to its original readers, and what should readers today understand from it?

That question shapes every overview in this series.

Rather than trying to mention every person, place, or historical detail, our overviews focus on each book's central message, how it fits into the larger story of Scripture, and why it still matters today. By focusing on the book's purpose rather than simply its contents, we hope to help you see the big picture without losing sight of what makes each biblical book unique.

We also create each summary with first-time Bible listeners and readers in mind. When a biblical word or phrase may be unfamiliar, such as covenant, grace, righteousness, reconciliation, atonement, or sanctification, we either explain it in plain English or choose wording that helps the meaning come through clearly.

Every overview is carefully researched, faithful to Scripture, and written specifically for audio, with most episodes lasting only about three minutes. Instead of moving chapter by chapter or verse by verse, we identify the major movements, themes, and purpose of each book, helping listeners understand how it fits into God's larger story of rescue and restoration.
